Hello, Elin
Sorry for not answering for so long, we were a little bit busy here ))
Speaking of how we are doing here under today’s circumstances. Our theater is now in stand by regime. We are trying to support all our workers now. According to law we are obliged to reduce salaries to 66%. But I understand that life is hard now, and we have to do everything we can to help our employees survive.
That`s why we are trying to add premiums to their salaries and looking for other financial support. I am very grateful to our accountants for coming to work under shelling to accrue salaries.
Also, our theather’s building has very unfortunate location – ont the mountain in the government district. That’s why we can’t offer a shelter here. That’s a pity but all we can do for now is praying for our beautiful castle avoids shelling. Especially after recent Russia’s war crime in occupied Mariupol.
Thank you for your letter and I am looking forward to talk after Ukraine wins in this violent and unjustified war
Best regards, Igor Guliy, CEO and artistic director of Kyiv Academic Puppet Theater
