Grundet krigen i Ukraine, er vi en gruppe teaterfolk i Danmark, Norge, Sverige, Finland og Island der har slået os sammen for at igangsætte initiativer til hjælp for vores kollegaer i Ukraine. Vi er et samarbejde mellem freelance teaterfolk og Unima i Norden og er dybt berørt af krigens brutalitet. Derfor dette samarbejde der har focus på folk der arbejder profesionelt med dukketeater, som har stor udbredelse og tradition i Ukraine, med bla.a to skoler for uddannelse i animationsteater. Vi har etableret direkte kontakt til teaterfolk i Ukraine bla.a fra de to skoler der findes i landet og fået de første indikationer hvad vi kan hjælpe med. De har mange akutte behov, men ønsker bla.a samarbejder med teatre i Norden. Derudover bla.a hjælp til at søge stipendiepenger til studerende. Kulturel udveksling / workshops / konferencer m.m. i udlandet som kan ledes av docenter fra akademierne, og turne af deres forestillinger i Norden. Vi arbejder på at oprette en hjemmeside med informationer og oplysninger, og søger hjælp,vejledning og gode råd fra alle kunsteriske miljøer i vores lande, for hvordan vi kan hjælpe bedst muligt.

Due to the war in Ukraine, we are a group of theater people in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland who have joined forces to initiate initiatives to help our colleagues in Ukraine. We are a collaboration between freelance theater people and Unima in the Nordics, and we are all deeply appalled by the brutality of the war. Hence this collaboration, which has a focus on people who work professionally with puppet theatre in Ukraine, a form of theatre that has old and proud traditions in the country. Ukraine has two schools for education in animation theatre, that despite the grueling war, continues to educate a new generation of puppeteers. We have established direct contact with theater people in Ukraine and have received the first indications of how we can help them. They have many urgent needs, but would like, among other things, collaborations with theaters in the Nordics. In addition, we wish to help the students at the schools to apply for scholarship funds. Furthermore, we wish to assist with cultural exchange / workshops / conferences etc. abroad which can be led by professors from the academies, and we would like to see the students being able to tour around the Nordics with their respective performances. We are working on creating a website with information and news, and are looking for help, guidance, and good advice from all artistic environments in our countries, for how we can help as best as possible.
